NTCA Health Survey Goes Live!!!

Please spread the word and forward this note to every Norwich Terrier owner
you know.

The Norwich Terrier Club of America, with the cooperation of the Orthopedic
Foundation for Animals, has launched an online health survey for our breed. Please
participate in this important effort. Please fill out the survey for every
Norwich you have ever owned. In order not to duplicate any records please
fill out the information for dogs that you are, or you were, the last owner
of. If you are not the last owner of given dog but would like to submit the
information please make sure you contact the last owner and let them know
that you already filled the questionnaire for that dog. The survey is
anonymous. No names of dogs are ever used. We are looking for statistical
snapshot of focus areas for the health committee to concentrate on.

It is a “smart” survey that will ask more questions in next pages only if
needed. For example if your dogs has cancer you will have an opportunity to
check which kind, the age of onset and so on. For those who do not answer
yes to cancer question those additional questions never show up and the
survey does not take you through unnecessary questions. You can go back to
check “yes” for areas you might have forgotten. For example for noise
phobias (or any phobias) please indicate an issue under “temperament”. You
will then have a chance to indicate shyness or noise phobia in following
pages. Also, if you have more than one Norwich you will not have to
answer the general questions about yourself. You will just answer “yes” to
already having participated in the survey with another dog.
