Dear NTCA Members,
Thank you for your generous support of the trophy fund in 2023! This year will be the NTCA’s 15th anniversary and we have some exciting plans in store to mark the occasion.
Montgomery County Kennel Club returns to Macungie Memorial Park on Sunday, October 6th. Our regular judge at the National Specialty will be Mr. Bob Busby and our sweepstakes judge will be Ms. Judy Laffey. For the first time, we are adding a NOHS award for MCKC.
New this year, the NTCA will be holding specialties at Hatboro I and II (also in Macungie) and Devon (Ludwig’s Corner, PA). Elevating the Hatboro and Devon shows to specialties from supported entries will allow for the opportunity to award major points for Reserve Winners Dog and Reserve Winners Bitch, depending upon the entry, per the new AKC rules.
The NTCA will be holding a specialty in San Antonio, TX at the Bexar County Kennel Club show on July 13th, as part of the NTCA and Lone Star Norwich Terrier Club’s 15th anniversary celebrations. Because this also is a specialty, major point opportunities will be available for RWB and RWD, depending upon the entry.
We also have added some new supported entries this year across the country.
On the performance side, the Montgomery Terrier Performance Cluster will take place in Palmyra, PA from September 30- October 3rd, featuring obedience, rally, agility, and Fast CAT.
