1936 American Kennel Club (AKC) breed recognition
1947 Norwich Terrier Club re-organized by Mrs. Thayer and Mrs. Spencer
1947 Official recognition of NTC by the AKC as the Parent Club for Norwich Terriers
1979 AKC recognition of two seperate breeds – Norwich (prick ear) and Norfolk (drop ear)
1979 Club renamed The Norwich and Norfolk Terrier Club
2009 AKC approves division into separate clubs for each breed
